Sunday Musings [11]: New Books & Canada Day Antics!

Two birds one stone - I stumbled upon The Sunday Post Meme hosted by the lovely Caffinated Book Reviewer & the Stacking The Shelves meme hosted by the awesome Tynga's Reviews! It is quite similar to what I'm doing here with my Sunday musings - recapping the week in book blogging universe as well as letting you guys know about what books I bought or received.

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

Happy be-lated birthday to my homeland - CANADA! To the other Canadian's out there - let's go grab some Tim Hortons, eh? All jokes aside, happy 148th Canada! Thanks for letting me call you home and providing me with tons of opportunities. Is anything exclusive to just Canada anymore? Poutine? My Canada Day was spent with some close friends and fireworks! We took a drive around town blasting some music while we sung (quite off key I might add) at the top of our lungs - it was a great night! We ended the night at our local poutine shop - Smoke's Poutinerie. Bacon, Mac&Cheese Poutine. It was everything you imagine it to be ;P On another note, Happy be-lated Independence Day my fellow Americans! Celebrate your awesomeness & all that makes you guys YOU! I heard about the firework shows all across the USA during this time so I hope I get to see some cool pictures on some Sunday Post posts! How do you guys celebrate usually besides the usual BBQ and fireworks? Any set traditions? Let me know!

Posts From The Past Week:

NEW Books added to my shelf this week:
I am SUPER SUPER excited that I received a early copy of Hostile Takeover from the lovely folks over at Simon & Schuster! Much Thanks Tolani & Kellyn - you're starting my summer reading off with a BANG! The book has such a nice feel to it - just feels so right to hold it in my hands! ;P As weird as that sounds...but the cover jacket is beautifully designed! My copy of The Intern's Handbook (book #1 of this series) is on order from bookoutlet so YAY!

    1. Instagram is such a fun way to visually see what the book blogging community is up to! Definitely try it out! Whiskey&Charlie was an amazing read - it was such a beautiful story of two boys and their growth in life!

    1. It is a commitment! I think the only way to go about it is to take photos in advance - some people may see this as 'cheating' but I think it allows for some really great photos to happen! There is always August!

  6. I really need to get back on my instagram. I was posting daily at one point and I loved doing the monthly challenges, but I've sort stopped recently. Happy belated Canada! I hope you have an awesome week!

    1. Welcome to the Instagram world! Glad to have you on board ;P It is a little intimidating seeing some accounts and their epic photos but we're all lovers of art inside so it doesn't matter as long as you express yourself! Thanks for stopping by love!
