Liebster Award LOVE !

Cecilie @ Little miss cucie and her readings, nominated me for this award recently! This is definitely a very cool experience to be a part of so THANK YOU Cecilie!
Check out her lovely book blog & make sure to leave some love for her!

So here are the rules:

1 - Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog.
2 - Answer the 10 questions given by the nominator.
3 - Nominate and link 10 bloggers (with less than 200 followers).
4 - Notify all the bloggers you've nominated.
5 - Create 10 new questions for your nominees to answer.

HERE ARE CECILIE'S QUESTIONS FOR ME:

1. What is your favorite setting in a book?
Hm, favourite setting it a book has got to be New York City. Something about it's nature and hustle and bustle city life makes for such great reading! I might have chosen New York because it's my home away from home too ;P Was naming a city too specific? I like thriving places! Places where you can be anywhere and do anything at anytime! As cliché as it's going to sound - it's really a city that never sleeps!

2. What is your favorite musical?
ONCE, hands down - the emotional journey it takes me through is amazing! I got to see it with my closest friends two years ago and it was such an experience! Would definitely recommend anyone out there to go see it!

3. Which language do you prefer your books to be in?
English - that's probably because I'm born and raised in Canada! I've seen books in other languages before and they are so beautiful! I can't fathom how someone else around the world can read these intricate words fluently as I read english! Mind is blown at stuff like that!

4. What is one book that you have heard nothing but good things about, but you ended up not liking as much as everyone else?
I have a few books for this question but I'll stick to naming just one. Looking For Alaska by John Green was one of those HIGHLY raved about books but I just found myself okay with it. I don't know if I was not giving the story enough attention while reading but I couldn't feel great about the story and its characters. (Is this where I start to get chased down by the John Green fandom? I'M SORRY - please don't throw stones at me!)

5. Which genres are your least favorites?
Business books? Haha um, my least favourite genres to read may have to be sci-fi, dystopian, middle grade and steampunk. Some of these genres I've simply grown out of. Nothing on the books - they just aren't what I want to read about anymore.

6. If you could live anywhere you wanted, where would it be?
I've got two contending places for this question - New York City because who wouldn't? And London, England because I can't get over my obsession with it's history and architecture & British Boys ;P London is pending however, on me actually VISITING the place.

7. What are your plans for summer?
Plans for Summer 2015 consists of: a month long intensive Painting Course, reading at least 20 books, painting/drawing, going to the Cottage, going fishing, visiting my sister in Calgary and then preparing to enter my FINAL year of University :)

I'm down to do some painting/drawing commission work so send me an email if you're interested or know anyone who is!

8. What movie are you most excited for this year, whether book related or not.
Ooo this is a tricky question there are a couple of movies I'm anticipating! I will have to say MINIONS! Who didn't love Despicable Me? I'm going to sneak this in here - A close contender to Minions would be Victor Frankenstein. All I'm going to say is Daniel Radcliffe & James McAvoy.

9. If you could ban a book, which would it be and why?
I hardly ever think about banning a book from bookshelves - it just sounds so serious the word 'ban'. But sometimes I let personal judgement get carried away. Working at a bookstore I get to browse a lot of books and when I found out Kim Kardashian released a book full of selfies and personal photos (book is titled: Kim Kardashain West: Selfish) I was shocked. This is the book I'd ban because I find it disturbing how much this book screams capitalism and egotism. Maybe the point of this book is to bring attention to all the attention and media craze that surrounds her? A criticism on the society we live in in North America (a little far fetched if you ask me)? There is a plethora of celebrity books like this but this one sat so shockingly at my store that I was totally taken aback by it! I'm sure Kim Kardashian is great and godly to millions around the world, I am just not one of those people who can appreciate her.

10. What is your favorite weather for reading?
Perfect weather and my FAVOURITE weather in fact, to read in, is rainy days! Not hardcore thunderstorms or anything but grey skies with rain falling at a steady quick pace. I feel so alive when I hear rain or run around outside getting wet from the rain! I love the soothing sound of rain hitting windows as I read.

I have never seen Kim Kardashians book in any norwegian book store, but that sounds horrible. I am in shock.
