Sunday Musings: Book Haul & Trip to the Big CITY! [4]

Two birds one stone - I stumbled upon The Sunday Post Meme hosted by the lovely Caffinated Book Reviewer & the Stacking The Shelves meme hosted by the awesome Tynga's Reviews! It is quite similar to what I'm doing here with my Sunday musings - recapping the week in book blogging universe as well as letting you guys know about what books I bought or received.

The next week is going to be quite exciting. I'll be flying out to New York City for a couple days! I love travelling and try to do as much as I can in between school and work throughout the year. New York is kind of my home away from home. There is always such a great vibe when I make it out there. Any New York readers? Anyways, the reason for this trip is I'll be attending my cousins graduation party. He's officially done university and I'm so happy for him! He's worked his butt off to get to where he is today and I can't wait to celebrate with him - CONGRATS CUZ!

What this means for the BloggityBLOG is that I won't be posting any new reviews while I'm away but the usual Tuesday Thoughts & Talks, Waiting on Wednesday and Sunday Musings will be on schedule! It'll be hard for me to blog while I'm away. I'm going to really miss interacting and reading all the great posts that arise during these days! I'll be back in a week and hopefully can catch up on all that I miss. While I'm in America I hope I get a chance to pick up some of the book recommendations I've got from you lovely people in the book blogosphere! It's also nice that America has such little tax (majority of Canada has a 13% tax rate!).

In other news this week, the #monthofmaybookchallenge on my bookstagram is still going strong. Here is the weeks challenges at a glance:

10. Book & Water , 11. Books You'd Recommend

12. Book & Light , 13. First Book on Your Shelf

14. Bookstore , 15. Catchy Title

A week or so ago I stumbled upon the site BookOutlet from another bibliophile and I couldn't believe that I never knew about it before! The site sells a variety of books ranging from damaged to new at RIDICULOUSLY affordable prices. If you're on a tight budget I would highly suggest checking out BookOutlet for your book shopping needs! I placed an order with them and my package just arrived a couple of days ago. Here's what that included:

(From Bottom Up)

Just a bunch of contemporary YA books and the one contemporary romance - my usual go-to genres ;P Are there any books here that interest you? Have you read any of them before? I would love to hear about them so let me know in the comments below!

AS ALWAYS,
HAPPY READING &SUNDAY!

  1. It's too bad your trip to NYC couldn't coincide with BEA which is happening the last weekend of May, I think. But I hope you'll have a great time!

    1. Books with blurbs like Meant to Be ALWAYS get me! I can't wait to read it - even though my TBR pile is out of control! Here's to us eventually getting the chance to read it LOL!

  5. Have a great time in NYC. I grew up in upstate NY but have been to Manhattan more in the past few years than when I lived there.

    1. Thank you! I spread my time when I'm there usually between Manhattan and Brooklyn! All the art museums in upper Manhattan and then family and food in Brooklyn ;P
